ANA BELTRA

Anna Beltra’s paintings explode with color and follage.  Like a Jackson Pollock of leaves, the artists’s work focuses on abundant foliage blurring the lines between abstraction and what she calls “baroque nature”.  More recent work explores a figurative element such as a chair in My Place of Recreation.  Whether exlusively wooded spaces or those with florals and chairs, Beltra’s work clearly shows the beauty and man’s small role within the grandeur of nature.

“My work has always revolved around nature.  I have always been interested in the idea of representing images of abundant foliage, leading to the creation of scenes plagued by a baroque nature, where I completely dissolve the distance between the green and the human space.”
