KY ANDERSON

Ky Anderson’s paintings appear geometric and ascendant.  Pastels are matched with black lines.  Geometric shapes intersect with curved shapes.  The eye is drawn upward and around, allowing an exploratory search throughout each composition.  Naturally drawn lines are evocative of primitive symbols, yet every mark supports an undeniable equilibrium to the work.  Anderson explains that “each painting stands as evidence of the search, exploration and endless possibilities of shape, line and color which feed the conversation until a balance has been found.”
