Donald Vogel (American, 1917- 2004). Vogel studied at The School of Art Institute of Chicago from 1936 to 1940 and later moved to Dallas. He is known as a painter and founder of Valley House Gallery in Dallas, Texas. Exhibition history includes The Art Institute of Chicago, Dallas Museum of Art, National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C., Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh; Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia; Allied Arts Exhibition, Dallas; Cincinnati Art Museum; San Francisco Museum of Art, and the Society of Independent Artists.
